We're a two-person indie studio. May we count visits with Google Analytics? It shows us which pictures and floors you enjoy, so we know what to make next. No ad tracking, nothing sold.Privacy policy
CubePix — the game for Android, iPhone and iPad, the web game and this website · effective 2026-11-06
The short version
CubePix has no accounts. We never ask for your name, e-mail or phone number.
Your progress and settings are saved on your device.
The app for Android, iPhone and iPad uses Google services for ads, analytics, crash reports and holiday events, and the store of your device (Google Play or the App Store) for purchases. Those services process some device data, as described below. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), you are asked for consent before ads are personalised. On iPhone and iPad, Apple also asks your permission before the advertising identifier can be used for tracking.
This website and the web game use Google Analytics only if you choose “Allow” in the cookie banner; until then, and after “Decline”, they make no request to any third party. There is no ad network: the ads and purchases in the web game are only imitations, and nothing is charged. Your progress stays in your browser.
Who we are
CubePix is made by Lewydo, a two-person indie game studio from Ukraine (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of the data described here. Contact: support@lewydo.com.
This policy covers the CubePix app for Android and for iPhone and iPad (the “App”), the free web game at https://cubepix.lewydo.com/play/ (the “Web game”) and this website (the “Site”).
The app (Android, iPhone and iPad)
Progress and settings — on your device
Your pictures, stars, coins, keys, settings and similar game state are stored on your device. If device backup is turned on (Android backup under your Google account, or iCloud / device backup on iPhone and iPad), they may be included in it. We do not receive this data.
Services the App uses
Service (provider)
What it does
Data it processes
Google AdMob, with Google’s User Messaging Platform
Shows ads (a small banner, occasional full-screen ads, and videos you choose to watch for a reward); asks for consent where required
Advertising ID (Android advertising ID; on iPhone and iPad the IDFA only if you allow tracking in Apple’s prompt), IP address, device and app information, ad interactions, your consent choices
Google Play Billing (Android) · Apple App Store in-app purchase (iPhone and iPad)
In-app purchases (for example “No ads” or coin packs) and restoring them
Google or Apple handles the payment. We receive a purchase confirmation (product, order number, time), never your payment details
Google Analytics for Firebase
Helps us see how the game is played (for example which floors are opened and which pictures are finished) so we can improve it
App instance ID, app usage events, device model, OS version, approximate country from the IP address
Firebase Crashlytics
Crash reports, so we can fix bugs
Crash traces, device model, OS version, app state at the time of the crash, installation ID
Firebase Remote Config
Switches holiday exhibitions on and off by date, without an app update; on iPhone and iPad it also tells the App which version is the newest in the App Store
Firebase installation ID, app version, device language and country
TikTok Business SDK (TikTok)
Measures which of our ads on TikTok lead to people installing and playing the game, so our ads reach people who may enjoy it. It runs only with your consent where the law requires it (in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland — your choice in Google’s consent form; in US states with privacy laws — unless you opt out in the App’s privacy settings), and on iPhone and iPad only if you allow tracking in Apple’s prompt
Advertising ID (Android advertising ID; on iPhone and iPad the IDFA, only with your permission), IP address, device and app information, a few app events (install, launch, tutorial finished, a picture finished, an achievement, coins spent, in-app purchase)
Your device’s share sheet and Photos
“Share the game” and “Share a picture” open your device’s own share sheet; saving a picture to your photos asks for permission to add photos only
We send nothing ourselves: you choose where to share. With “add only” access the App cannot see or read your photo library
Google Play (In-App Review and In-App Updates) · Apple App Store (rating prompt and the game’s App Store page)
Lets you rate the game and update it without leaving it
Handled by Google Play under your Google account or by the App Store under your Apple Account; a review you write is public in that store
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, a consent form from Google’s User Messaging Platform appears before ads are personalised. You can change your choice at any time in the App’s settings.
On iPhone and iPad, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt asks whether CubePix may use your advertising identifier (IDFA). If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, ads are still shown, but the IDFA is not used. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
TikTok ad measurement follows the same choices: in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland only with your consent in Google’s form; in US states with privacy laws you can opt out in the App’s privacy settings; on iPhone and iPad it stays off unless you allow tracking in Apple’s prompt. Turning it off does not change the game.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, in your Android settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads, depending on your device).
Rewarded videos are always optional: nothing in the game requires watching one.
If you buy “No ads”, banners and full-screen ads between levels and at launch stop.
Why we process data (legal bases under the GDPR)
Consent: personalised ads and TikTok ad measurement, where the law requires consent (on iPhone and iPad, TikTok measurement always needs your permission in Apple’s prompt).
Contract: delivering the in-app purchases you make.
Legitimate interests: non-personalised ads that keep the game free, analytics and crash reports that help us improve the game, fraud prevention and security.
The web game and this website
They use no ad network and no ad tracking. The fonts are served from this site itself, not from a third party.
The ads in the Web game are imitations drawn by the game itself, and a purchase there is an imitation too: the item is simply given, no payment is asked and none can be made. No ad or payment service is contacted.
The Web game saves your progress and settings, and the Site remembers the language you picked, in your browser’s local storage on your device. Nothing of it is sent to us. To remove it, clear this site’s data in your browser.
The Site and the Web game are hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may log visitors’ IP addresses for security, as described in the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Links to Google Play, the App Store and our studio’s website are ordinary links. The pages they open have their own privacy policies.
Website analytics (Google Analytics) — only with your consent
The Site and the Web game show a small banner with two equal buttons, “Decline” and “Allow”. Until you choose, and if you choose “Decline”, no analytics script is loaded and no request goes to Google. This page itself never loads analytics.
If you choose “Allow”, Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC) counts visits and how the game is played: which pages and game screens are opened, pictures started and finished (with their stars and score), the tutorial, the daily chest, the curator’s tasks, skins and Pix’s costumes chosen, the game’s language and settings, and taps on the Google Play link. It uses first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_*) set only for this site’s own address (not shared with other Lewydo sites), kept for up to 13 months, and Google receives your IP address, which Google Analytics 4 does not store. We do not use Google signals or advertising features, nothing is used for ads, and we never sell or share this data.
Your choice is saved in your browser for 13 months. You can change it at any time: “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the Site, “Privacy settings” in the Web game’s Settings, or the button below. “Decline” after “Allow” stops analytics and deletes its cookies.
We see these numbers only in aggregate, in the same Google Analytics (Firebase) property as the App, to decide which pictures and floors to make next. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
Children
CubePix is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under the higher age of digital consent that applies in your country. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will help remove it.
How long data is kept
Data on your device stays until you delete the App, clear its data, or clear this site’s data in your browser.
Analytics and crash data are kept for a limited time (at most 14 months) and then deleted or anonymised.
Data held by Google services is kept under Google’s retention policies and your Google account settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. This includes the rights under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, and the CCPA/CPRA in California. We do not sell your personal information. To use any of these rights, write to support@lewydo.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Deleting your data
Game progress: uninstall the App (on Android you can also clear its data in settings). In the Web game, clear this site’s data in your browser.
Website analytics: choose “Decline” in “Cookie settings”; the analytics cookies are deleted. To ask us about data already collected, write to us.
Advertising ID: reset or delete it in your Android settings; on iPhone and iPad, turn off tracking for CubePix in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Anything else: write to us, and we will delete what we can link to you or help with a request to Google.
International transfers and security
Google may process data outside your country, including in the United States. For transfers from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it relies on safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. We use reputable providers and keep what we process to what the game needs.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page with a new effective date. For important changes, we will also tell you in the App.
